Better Business Bureau's 2005 Torch Award Finalist

In November of 2005, The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama, Inc. celebrated its 40th Anniversary by announcing the winner and finalists of its 8th Annual Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics. More than 300 companies received nominations for the Torch Award and were given the opportunity to submit information regarding their ethical relationships with customers, employees, and vendors. A prestigious panel comprised of representatives of the academic and business community judged the entries.  Seventy-four business and non-profit organizations accepted their nomination and provided an entry for the Torch Award.

In 2005, the North Alabama Better Business added a new category specifically for non-profit Organizations. The Arc of Madison County was honored to be selected as one of the three finalists, along with the Madison/ Marshall County Chapter of the American Red Cross and Hospice of the Valley. We congratulate Hospice of the Valley for being selected the winner in this category.
